1. Overview and Core Philosophy

At YTSnapIt (accessible via https://yt.puthupage.com), user privacy is an architectural priority. Our service is engineered from the ground up to operate without user accounts, user profiles, or persistent databases.

2. Information We Process

When using our media inspection utility, the following technical data is processed:

  • Submitted Media URLs: The URL you submit is processed strictly in temporary server memory to validate formatting, prevent SSRF security threats, and query official metadata endpoints (such as YouTube or Vimeo oEmbed). We do not record, store, or sell user-submitted URLs.
  • Transient Rate-Limiting Data: To defend against automated denial-of-service abuse, an anonymized cryptographic hash of your client IP address and the current date is held in temporary system cache memory for up to 60 seconds. This data contains no personally identifiable details and is automatically purged.
  • No Persistent User Database: YTSnapIt does not operate MySQL, SQLite, PostgreSQL, Redis, or any other persistent user data repository.
Zero Persistence Principle: YTSnapIt does not operate a database, track query history, or permanently store submitted media URLs.

3. Temporary Files & Local Storage

YTSnapIt does not download or store videos or media files on our web server. When you inspect a media resource, communication happens in real time between your browser and the verified endpoint. No cached copies of copyrighted media are retained on our servers.

4. Advertising Partners (Adsterra)

To keep YTSnapIt free and accessible to the public, we display advertisements provided by third-party ad networks, including Adsterra.

Third-party ad servers or networks may use technologies such as cookies, JavaScript, or Web Beacons in their respective advertisements. These technologies automatically receive your IP address when ad banners are delivered to your web browser. They are used to measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns and/or to personalize advertising content.

YTSnapIt has no access to or control over cookies that are used by third-party advertisers. Users may adjust their cookie preferences through their individual browser settings or consult Adsterra's official privacy policies for opt-out mechanisms.

5. Third-Party Services & Embedded Content

Our website integrates official, authorized preview widgets from third-party services:

  • YouTube (Google LLC): Metadata is queried via YouTube's public oEmbed API. Interactive previews use YouTube's privacy-enhanced domain (youtube-nocookie.com), which avoids placing tracking cookies until you actively press play on the video.
  • Vimeo: Metadata is retrieved via Vimeo's public oEmbed service.

6. Server Logs & Hosting Provider Limitations

While YTSnapIt's application layer stores no user data or search history, users should understand that our web hosting infrastructure (Hostinger Web Hosting), cloud edge proxies, and standard web server daemons (Apache / LiteSpeed) automatically record routine technical access logs.

These server-level logs typically capture technical connection parameters, including:

  • Your Internet Protocol (IP) address
  • Browser user-agent string and operating system
  • Date and time of HTTP requests
  • HTTP response status codes and bytes transferred

These logs are maintained by the infrastructure provider for security monitoring, network health, DDoS mitigation, and regulatory compliance. YTSnapIt does not merge server access logs with individual user activities.
